With a shout, Charlie pulls away, but Susan is entangling herself in his arms and he finds it incredibly difficult to separate himself from her. True, when she first arrived, this was about what he had in mind, but now, he could never in a million years see her like that. She is his mother figure, and this is wrong in every conceivable way. "Susan!" he cries. "Get off!" "What's the matter, Char?" she asks, smiling dreamily, and plants another kiss on his lips. She's much stronger than he realized, and unreasonably persistent. Even when he makes it clear that he has something to say and wants her to stop, she just doesn't seem to hear him. Finally he just has to push her away and make a break for it, locking himself in his room. Just outside, he hears her slam into his door, and then just stands outside, giggling. Okay, he tells himself, trying to calm his rapidly beating heart, this is bad. The potion sure seems to have made it so she doesn't want to leave him, but not at all in the way he intended.
