There was a bustling marketplace in the main street of the village, and for a good long while Riella held back, watching from the trees. It had been a very long time since she'd been among people, and she had never tried to navigate a crowd without a voice. But she needed to restock supplies while she could, and preferably she'd be able to find a cheap place to sleep. She had paper and ink, anyway, so communication would at least be possible. So finally, she managed to build up the resolve she needed to enter the town, and bade the goblin to follow but stick as much as he could to the shadows. Gavin's intelligence had been vastly diminished with his transformation, but the goblin had proven himself to be a sneaky thing. Her hair was pinned up, as much as it could be; when let down it fell nearly to her knees [109625], so it was an unreasonable amount of hair, and really she should have cut it as soon as she resolved to leave home. It was just inefficient in every way, particularly if she was traveling. But Riella was very attached to her hair, and though that attachment had faded slightly with the return of her Fred personality, Riella had existed on her own for thirteen years and her influence wasn't going away anytime soon. Still, though this unusual feature was more or less hidden, the very small but very beautiful young woman definitely seemed to attract attention as she wove her way through the crowd.
