The Never Ending Quest - Episode 110254

Considering where he was and who he was facing, Rincewind thought honesty was the best way to go. Actually, running away really fast was the best way to go but the Patrician knew all about Rincewind's skill with running (as Rincewind had foolishly told him) so naturally, any long, speed-gaining hallways would have some sort of obstacle.
The Patrician knew everything about Rincewind, as is only logical for someone who had saved the city more then he, Rincewind, care to think about.
So the wizard confessed he had no idea why he was here.

  1. "Interesting." was all the older man had to say.
  2. The Patrician cheerfully (and thus terrifingly) explained why Rincewind was here.
  3. Before anyone could say anything more, the entire building shook in a tremendous explosion.
  4. Rincewind and the Patrician vanished. They were still in the office, just invisible to each other.
  5. The Patrician's desk crumbled into dust. "Fascinating." he said, still sitting.
  6. The Patrician seemingly ignored Rincewind and made a flinging gesture. To the left a man fell with a thump, lacking a head.
