Fred stared down at herself. The inky black octopus skin stretched up just far enough to cover her breasts, almost like a grotesque dress. Her brand new tentacles flopped around uselessly, and her brain went into overdrive trying to keep track of her seven new limbs that hadn't even stopped tingling yet. Her heart felt like it was about to beat out of her chest, but it didn't seem that would be wearing off anytime soon--little did she know, she now had three hearts. Her skin had taken on a sickly green tint, and she'd lost the fins on her arms and lower back.

"Trust me, sweet cheeks, no mer will ever accept you like this," Narissa said sourly. "So you can stop thinking about escaping. You'd have nowhere to go. Anyway, here's what I have in mind:

  1. You'll help me with my magic. I'm sure you'll come to love it. Maybe you'll be a sea witch yourself one day."
  2. You'll take care of all the upkeep around my home."
  3. You'll take care of all my business transactions."
