It should have been just an ordinary night, but Riella had such strange dreams: of a king and a dragon and some very important quest, and she saw it all through the eyes of an adult male, a knight.
When she woke up, her head was pounding and the dreams that should have already started to fade away instead were seeming more and more real, until she was sure they were memories.

The two full sets of memories of two completely different people smashed together in her head were too much, and she would have screamed had she had a voice. As it was, she began to thrash wildly in her bed, tearing her hair out.

Her head felt like it was about to explode. She left the hut to draw some water from the well, and her mind began to clear. She remembered... she was Sir Fred!

She blinked, looking around. She remembered her quest, Belboz's interference, her escape, and finally eating that kind woman's stew, but the memory seemed somehow more distant than it should be. As did the ceiling. What was going on?
