Velus Flees From Rupert

He made it a hundred yards away from the cave before he head a terrible flapping. He turned around. Rupert burst from the cave entrance, wings flapping madly.

"Stooooooop!" Rupert cried. "Where are you running too? I'm not going to hurt those pretty little human buns of yours. I said violence is never the answer!"

Velus kept fleeing. Part of the hill was steeper to the right and led into some woods. At the bottom was a long, tall, thin boulder.

Velus scampered down the hill, careful not to spill and go head over heels. But Rupert put on some speed and flapped to a stop onto of the rock.

Velus tried to put on the brakes. But he failed. Velus slammed face first into the dirt, did a triple roll that would have gotten him a ten from the Olympic diving judges if the Olympics existed and fetched up quite hard against the unweilding boulder.

1. Velus is just stunned silly.
2. Velus is hurt quite badly.
