"Who Are You?"

Vincent's mouth fell open. The names could hardly be a coincidence. What on Earth had happened to Fred and Astra once they had left his tower, quite a long time ago now? The spell that he had cast to track them down had brought him here, and he had thought that it must have gone badly awry, but it seemed that it had worked after all.

As he attempted to make sense of all of this, Astra took up the story. "We would like to find our way back to Mistress Candida's brothel. That's where we work. Although she did cheat us. So maybe we would do better to go to Pronky. That's the wizard Pronklezilch. He was very kind to us."

"Pronklezilch is a friend of mine. I'm a wizard too, you see. I'll take you to him. If he knows you, then perhaps he can help me understand what has happened to you. That knowledge may assist me in undoing it." [If you head straight back in this branch, Vincent doesn't know that Pronklezilch has been up to no good.]

"It's very kind of you to offer to take us to him," Freda said. "But I don't understand what you mean about undoing something."

1. Vincent attempts to explain that they are rightfully a knight and a warrior princess.
2. Perhaps wisely, Vincent doesn't attempt to explain. Instead he casts a teleportation spell to take the three of them to Pronklezilch's place.
