Fred could only gape at the wizard, now one hundred percent convinced that he was totally mad.

"If you're worried about the baby, or rather babies, don't be; they'll be perfectly safe and healthy inside you, they just won't be doing any more growing for a while."

"You're insane!" Fred stuttered. "That will do more harm than good! How long would you have me stay pregnant then?"

Belboz shrugged. "As long as it takes for Hannah to find some way to make raising a small village of children easier? She's under a spell, do you get that? As soon as she gives birth she will be so overwhelmed by motherly love that she wants another child. Henry will agree, and the cycle will continue. This is the only way to put it on hold."

"Can't you stop the cycle completely?" Fred asked desperately.

"I don't particularly want to just yet, and putting it on hiatus is a simpler spell. You're welcome.

1. All right, this should be entertaining!" With that, Belboz vanished, and the Hannah persona reasserted itself.
2. Also, I've decided that watching you, as Fred, struggle through this life ought to be much more entertaining, so I'm going to allow you some degree of freedom--with safeguards, of course."
