They... They were making her a fairy. Or at least making her resemble one. She twisted around to stare at the wings—until one fairy grabbed her left arm, another grabbed the right, and they hoisted her five feet in the air—fifteen times her height—and dropped her.

Instinctively, in the throes of panic, she beat her wings, and found they worked.

  1. Satisfied, the fairies began to fly away, and many pushed and pulled her along, obviously wanting her to follow.
