Belboz's words "You will be unable to do anything which is not utterly girly" suddenly became even apter than ever. Hannah began to relish falling just as much as she did flying. She looked forward to every new outfit, and always wanted more. Where normally she would just sit there and endure whatever the fairies wanted to put her through, now she would dance for them, run around, ride on the backs of insects, whatever seemed to amuse them—and enjoy it immensely. She stuffed herself so full of their simple food she began to grow fat. She let her hair grow so long (and it seemed to grow at a ridiculous rate now—whether just by exposure to the fairies' magic or some side effect of the size spell, she couldn't be sure) that it dragged on the ground because she knew how much the fairies loved styling it (hard as it was with their big fingers). She tried to sing along with their songs, even though it was impossible. She was so obviously content that they soon abandoned her restraints and fences entirely. She was as far from a flight risk as it got. It was a simple yet deeply beautiful culture they had here, she realized, and she saw how ungrateful she'd been not to recognize it before. It was an honor to be their pet. Everything was the same, blissfully the same, for three years. Then, one morning...
