Her fur is golden, like her hair was as a human, and her eyes remain large and grey. She is, however, not able to see this immediately, as she is nearly drowning under her nightgown and blankets. After squirming, yowling pathetically, to freedom, she sees that Mirdox is standing on the other side of the room, looking solemnly at her. "I've tried several times in recent days to speak to you about this," he says, sounding displeased. "But you have not listened. Your Majesty, you are being very selfish. It did not start out this way, nor is it entirely your fault. But I do not think you understand how long five weeks is to spend as an animal, or how it is affecting your family. True, I could have just changed them back. But I thought it best to show you what has been happening to them." Diana begins to yowl in protest. "Don't worry, I'll change you back in far shorter a time than you planned to leave them. Take this time to reflect. I do not do this out of malice." And he vanishes. She scratches at the door, and a guard arrives in her room not ten minutes later. Soon enough, she is with her feline family, and the now-leaderless kingdom is in disarray. Mirdox takes the throne temporarily, but the people live in fear that he will be next. She feels out of place among them even now; her seven kittens are playful enough, but they are all acting like cats. She fears that her human mind, as well, will begin to devolve into the mind of a common house cat. The thought rather terrifies her, and she regrets leaving her family like this. But then again... maybe, in some strange way, if they are all less intelligent, more primal like this, they can be more of a family than they ever were before. At the very least, nothing truly bad can come of this. Right?
