The Never Ending Quest - Episode 107723

Astra was impressed by the writer's insight, but before she could read any further the door creaked open and a voice said: "Hello. It appears that a guest has arrived." Taken by surprise, Astra looked up from her book and found herself confronted by a thickset middle-aged man standing in the bedroom doorway.

  1. The man's use of the word "guest" was clearly ironic, as his tone was menacing and he had a poker in his hand.
  2. The man's tone was surprisingly amiable, given the circumstances. "I do beg your pardon," Astra said. "I was looking for somewhere to spend the night, and the outer door wasn't locked."
