A bullet, a bullet, a curse for all time

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 106291

Josh's red-ball on his fluffy hat, courtesy of one of Astra's pockets, exploded, Astra's mysterious red hair fluffed. The boom of the gunshot scared them both. But Astra, with her experience working in Third World countries, broke into action. She grabbed Josh by the shoulders and steered him towards the only cover she could find; a recently installed memorial to four former citizens who had lost their lives in the Vietnam War conflict. Their bodies (and proof of their existence) had been found due extensive diplomatic efforts.
Sadly further gunfire scored the heavy black swirls of metal. But they were swirls. Pure luck was part of what was keeping them alive.

  1. Make a run for a nearby car.
  2. Astra finds a gun dropped by one of her guards.
  3. Two of her guards pull up in a stolen vehicle.
  4. The guards screech up to a stop a block away and slay the shooter.
  5. The guards screech up to a stop a block away...and are killed to a man.
  6. The snow and wind kicks into high gear. Astra and Josh rush for the relative safety of a community center.
