Medea . . .And I believe we have our first intended lesson from the real Gods and Goddesses instead of what their corrupted stand-ins would have me believe, I find myself thinking inanely to myself as I watch events unfold before me. Besides the fact that my Heroic Spirits are . . .er . . .heroic and not doing it for rewards or glory . . . A certain part of her mind, a somewhat dark and cynical piece of her heart scoffs at such a thing, only to be overshadowed by . . .some OTHER things. One part is the more hopeful (and perhaps innocent) part of her (which would have been eventually extinguished under the path she would have been forced to follow without her Spirits’ intervention), and squashes the dissention. Such people existed and apparently were allowed to exist for her! Another part in her keeps scratching and scrapping in the back of her mind. Something that had not been there before now The encounter/rescue of the young spellbound man and woman (siblings obviously to Medea) where instead of conceding to their request of choosing to participate to a coin toss . . .
Fighting and cursing (albeit under their breath some of them), they finally arrived at what Medea knew was some form of jail complex turned fortress holdout. But BEFORE the object of their Quest is obtained (and the "object" in question told nothing but good things about her rescuers), there was this. It was a haunting image being played out upon a glass wallmounted, arcane scrying device that Medea just happened to materialize next to; an image that would never be forgotten by the young princess despite herself. It was a recording of an event, a scene played out again and again in magnetic media, but also in eerie duet for the one young woman we’ll call Eleanor Lamb and REALLY strange six in one play done by another young woman we shall call Elizabeth. She has no way of knowing this, but the next parts are spoilers for the video games Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite. Having no real knowledge of what a “video game” is or any real desire to know of such things at the time, it still chills here what she sees. Author’s Note-to avoid spoiling the enjoyment of those games if you’ve not played them before, do not read the italicized parts. "Mother was right about one thing -- I have been watching you, Father, studying the way you have treated others, and now I know who I am. I am free. After everything that Mother has done to me I am alive and sane enough to be curious about the sun. When you rescued my new Sisters," the young sounding woman who was dressed in what Medea would call some kind of odd, alien body armor (but other would recognize as a type of an old fashion dive suit popular for ocean explorers before the advent of scuba gear). "I felt every one, and it gave me hope for the first time in years. "Now I will do the same for all the others, starting with this one." As an ominous counterpoint, an echoing speech is being said apparently by the same woman, at the same time. Gods and Goddesses above only know how Medea was able to sort out the speeches, given them being blended together into one speaker, who’s voice was somewhat further distorted by the diving helmet she was wearing. "Mother was right about one thing -- I have been watching you, Father, studying the way you have treated others, and now I know who I am. “I survive, no matter the cost, just as you have. My new Sisters trusted you, but you took what you needed and disposed of them, and I felt every one. It wasn't personal, it was... the law of nature. “So this... what I'm about to do... is perfectly natural." Whatever the intentions the woman who was dressed as a diver just happened to be, good or ill, remains an unknown as a white, glowing mist suddenly rushes in and interrupts things. Or at least seemed to be somehow responsible for what happens. The young girl dressed in odd clothing (but who’s cut speak of wealth, even if they’d seen better days) disappears in a flash before Eleanor can grasp her. Later, Medea would recognize the wayward girl standing next to one of her fellow “Little Sisters”. Indeed, the small girl (the Little Sister that one of Rei Takahashi's sisters rescued from the clutches of Jack Ryan before he could complete his “harvesting”) is very much remembered. After all, it would be very difficult to forget seeing a young little girl who’s stomach had been ripped open to . . . Nevermind. Just leave at saying that as much as Rei’s younger sister would like to, she’ll never be EVER to forget it. …. Good thing that the White Witch of Ainran was able to put that Little Sister to right and heal her, after a LOT of time and effort in her mage laboratory! In the meantime, Medea blinks as she watches Eleaonor begin to scream in agony as her mind and body (her soul) are twisted and warped by technology gone amuck: the Vita-Chamber. First her diving gear morphs and changes, shifting from something utilitarian (by Medea’s standards) to something more befitting of those of High Blood. Say, almost something like what a princess would wear, the Princess of Colchis would state in reflection. Now clad in an elegant golden dress with opera gloves (and shoes to match the ensemble), the changes then warp and change the woman herself. Her screams becomes higher and higher pitched as she shrinks and shrinks, leaving only a young girl with glowing eyes and dark skin. In other words, Eleanor Lamb had become a Little Sister yet again, after having been “rescued” from years and years earlier.
