Into the Belly of the Beast...

The gargoyle let out a loud roar. The drawbridge came down, with a loud creaking noise. Matthias and Belinda escorted Carola and Jarlath into the castle. They found themselves in a large open courtyard. All around them were a large number of menacing-looking statues of soldiers. One of them stepped forward. "Vaeren will see you now," it said in a cold, metallic voice.

Shuddering, the four heroes followed it. It led them into an imposing tower, with strange runic symbols engraved on it. They were ushered up a long staircase, into the highest room of the tower. They were brought to a door, which creaked open upon their arrival.

Entering the door, they found themselves in a place that looked like a throne room. Sitting on the throne was someone who was obviously Vaeren.

1. "Come," he said. "We shall discuss negotiations."
2. In front of him were a large number of warrior statues, their spears pointed at the four heroes. Behind them, they saw an equally large number. "Do you really think you could fool me that easily?" said Vaeren.
3. He was slumped, dead, with a large dagger in his back.
4. Sorry, accidentally made one option too many.
