There was a babble of voices all speaking at once: "Stacy! It's good to see you." "We were so worried about you." "Stacy! Where've you been?" The man held up a hand for silence, then said: "Stacy's lost her memory again, but fortunately I found her just in time. But we don't have time to discuss that, I'm afraid. There are daleks on the rampage out there. We need to find out what brings them here and - more importantly - defeat them."

  1. "How do we do that?" asked one of the redheads.
  2. "But..." said Stacy, then stopped. She felt sure that there had to be a "but" here somewhere, but she wasn't quite sure what it was.
