A new life

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 104869

Thus begins a new life for the ex-knight, who is perfectly content, even joyous, at the idea of being with Belboz for the rest of her days. He is the perfect gentleman, promising to do whatever he can to make her happy. And it all works out beautifully for both of them, because her happiness is contingent upon his. She just wants to be with him, and she's so glad he's transformed her to make this life possible. It still feels remarkably odd to have this body, but she has a whole life ahead of her to get used to it.

She soon learns that Belboz prefers that she stay out of the way when possible, as their marriage has been quite quiet and surreptitious. She finds this agreeable enough, happy to live in his mountain home. She does find herself missing certain elements of her old life, like going on quests and slaying monsters. She comes to learn that Belboz is allied with the dragon, and naturally immediately banishes any notion of slaying it, but she'd still like to act nobly if possible, and expresses this wish to Belboz.

  1. He says that that doesn't really match up with the life he imagines for them, and offers to magically remove those interests and desires from her.
  2. He agrees that she can be a warrior princess, though she'll have to relearn all her old skills for this new body. He starts by getting her a fencing instructor.
