The general form of Matthias' and Belinda's bodies - their torsos, arms
and legs - was unchanged, as was
their height and weight.
However their hands and feet were now paw-like, and their heads had rabbit
features (ears, eyes, nose, whiskers, teeth) although the heads' basic
shape was little
changed. They also had rabbits' scuts (i.e. tails).
Apart from the soles of their hind-paws, the palms of their fore-paws and
their aureolae,
they were completely covered in thick fur, pure white on their fronts and
a mixture of white
and brown on their backs.
"What do you think?" asked Jarlath anxiously. "Is that all right?" "Yes, I don't think we can be distinguished from the Dragon's warrior rabbits," said Belinda. She noted that her voice did not seem to have changed at all. "One more thing," she went on. "We'll need to cut holes in our breeches for our tails. Do you have a knife?" Once that had been seen to, and Matthias and Belinda had dressed, they discussed how once the "warrior rabbits" were inside the castle they could best arrange entrance for Jarlath and Carola.
