"Yes, I quite understand," Fred said. "If you are heading for the Floating Isles then your course will lie in a different direction to ours, so I suppose that we should take our leave of you. I wish you good luck in your mission."

"Thank you," the leader of the Hespans said. "We wish you good luck in yours."

When the Hespans had gone, Diana said: "So what is our mission?"

  1. "Why, to get you safely back home to Caemlyn of course. I'm afraid that we have a long and potentially dangerous journey ahead of us."
  2. "I still have to complete my quest of killing the dragon. Now that I know that it lives just across the river from Zenobia, it's likely to be even more dangerous. So I think I should first try to find a village where I can safely leave you."
  3. "I have a score to settle with Zenobia after the way she threatened us."
  4. "To covertly follow the Hespans. I don't trust them."
