"Oh," the knight says. "I'm sorry, I cannot seem to remember. What is your name?" "I am Zenobia." "Ah. Hello, my apparent wife Zenobia. What is my name?" "Shelton," she says promptly. "Oh. Okay. Why can't I remember that?" Zenobia begins to cry. "I don't know! Why can't you remember me?" The knight grows frantic; even though he can't remember it, he is a man of honour, and hates to make a lady (or one who appears to be a lady) weep. "I am sorry! Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" "You could clean this castle, top to bottom until it shines." "I will do it, my love," the knight says, and makes haste to carry out her wishes.
