Mirdox recommends that Diana choose a maid named Brunhild, who is especially loving and caring towards the children. Diana agrees. Giving Brunhild the explanation is a frustratingly long process, but in the end the maid agrees to pose as Diana for a while. Mirdox then takes a hair from each of them, the last potion ingredient, and has them drink up. For each of them, it is like staring in a mirror. Brunhild looks nothing like Diana; she is rather heavyset, and has brown hair and brown eyes, while Diana is thin, grey-eyed, and blonde.
