Diana starts with the pink one, which is too sour for her tastes, so she doesn't quite finish it. Then she goes for the purple one, which she downs in a single gulp, it's so tasty. She stands there congratulating herself on the great idea of drinking the drinks, and suddenly her whole body erupts in intense discomfort. The resulting scream lands Zenobia in the potion room less than a minute later, and she sees a pile of dust that she is quite sure used to be her "daughter." She bites her lip on seeing that the girl drank both potions; this would not be easy to fix. She has been working on a way to completely dismantle a person, mind and body, and Diana of course had to drink the two potions that would get the job done. The purple one turned a sentient being into a pile of dust; the pink one extracted a person's mind—memories, personality, knowledge, everything—and expelled it as a gas, which was quick to disperse. The thing is, mixing the potion to counter the dust one will take about twenty minutes, and if she waits that long to start gathering together the gas that Diana's mind has become, there will be little mind still retrievable, even if she works very hard at gathering. Alternatively, if she tried gathering Diana's mind before restoring her body, there would be nowhere to put it.
