The man almost immediately shoves Marina off his companion's back, and she lands in the pool. One of the nymphs pushes her down further and shushes her, then ascends to fight with her sisters. Marina hears a lot of yelling for a long time, and then silence. She waits for what seems like quite some time before cautiously emerging from the water. She doesn't see any of her caretakers, and wonders where they could have gone. But she does see the man and the woman who killed at least one of them, and immediately growls in hatred. They approach her slowly, offering calming words, but she doesn't trust them.
