Which Features a Chase

"Diana!" the man shouts behind her in what sounds like genuine alarm. She doesn't care; she bolts away from that house as quickly as her little bare feet will carry her.

There are sounds of pursuit behind her almost immediately, and if she weren't in a state of wild panic she would realize that her only current advantage is that she is smarter than the man realizes.

She glances behind her briefly; the building she has left is a little, cozy-looking cottage in what appears to be the middle of a forest. The man, now accompanied by a woman, is quickly approaching her. Diana puts on an extra burst of speed, fueled by panic.

She spots a thick grove of bushes off to the side, and dives into them. She quiets herself as best she can, and waits with bated breath.

1. The couple runs right past her hiding place.
2. Diana hears a terribly deep growl from somewhere close by.
