In Which a Father Figure Appears

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 103743

The whole "little girl" thing is really getting to her; she retreats to her bed and dives under the covers.

The man comes to sit on the bed next to her, and puts his hand on her back, causing her to flinch. "Diana, what's the matter?" he asks, sounding very concerned. "Did you have a nightmare?"

Diana seems to react instinctively to him; she bursts from the covers and throws herself into his arms, burying her face into his shirt. She is simultaneously horrified at the involuntary nature of this action and comforted by the action itself.

The man wraps his strong arms around her, and asks gently, "What's wrong, sweetheart?"

  1. She draws back suddenly and flattens herself against the wall. "Where on God's green earth am I?"
  2. She tears herself away, leaps from the bed, and hurls herself through the open window.
  3. She starts crying in terrible confusion.
