Croak!

Trying not to be repulsed by her appearance - for after all he looked no better himself - Fred took her in his (now shorter) arms, in an attempt to comfort her. Eventually she calmed down.

1. With practice, they found that they could speak intelligibly, though in a very croaky fashion. Fred suggested that they should dispense with their clothes, as these were now so large on them as to be an encumbrance.
2. Since they could not talk, how were they to communicate with each other?
3. Fred sees a fly, and can't resist the impulse to shoot out his tongue and capture it.
