The man gave her a thoughtful look in response. "Good questions," he said, "But I think the answer is obvious, really. They know we're out here, trying to stop them, but they don't necessarily know who we are or exactly what we're doing. Nielsen was obviously hoping that we'd make contact with you, and he wanted you to have the information so you'd have a reason to meet with us. Then he watches to see where you go, who you meet with... and he's there waiting to take us out! Only he didn't want to risk us getting our hands on the real disk, just in case things went wrong. Only he wasn't careful enough, fortunately."

Stacy thought this sounded plausible. Well, no it didn't, it sounded insane and paranoid. But then, she was getting used to that by now. Stacy paused, attempting to collect her thoughts.

1. "Hold on," she said. "You know, you still haven't told me who 'they' are."
2. "But wait," she said, another thought suddenly occuring to her, "Didn't Nielsen excpect the amnesia to take me out of the picture? Why would he even have thought I'd be able to find my way back to the studio?"
3. "Eureka!" shrieked Helen, interrupting Stacy's train of thought.
4. Their conversation was interrupted by Helen, who turned to them and said, "Well, I'm afraid there's some bad news."
