She freed Velus from the table. Then she suddenly realized he was staring at her with an evil grin on his face...

"There's something I have to tell you," he said. "She had already cast the spell on me when you came through the door."

"Really? ...But that doesn't matter anymore!" Fredwynna said. "The witch is dead now."

"Don't you see what that means?" Velus said. "I'm on top now! All the men who are touched by this spell, will be under my control! Muhahahahahaha! I will rule the world!"

1. Fredwynna drew her sword and drove it into his gut, saving the day once more.
