He releases the bowstring and the arrow flies through the air. It embeds itself in the dragon's skull and, with a shriek, the dragon convulses and dies.
Fred looks down at it, a lump in his throat. He has fulfilled his quest, but he feels no triumph. He will never be certain if he made the right choice. He gloomily thinks to himself that he'll probably be haunted forever.
But now it's time to return to the king and report his victory. Unfortunately, he's not sure of the way out. He sees two tunnels; which one should he take?
