The Fred and Astra in question are those known as Fred and Astra 7. Terra
Prime's
Aqualaria still worships the old Greek gods, as does Astra 7. Fred 7 is
happy enough
to fall in with his bride-to-be's wishes and for their wedding
rite to be the Aqualarian one. Originally the Queen had been going to send
a priestess
of Artemis to conduct the ceremony [8480], but now the threat from the
orcs is effectively
over she feels able to fly out to Ethiopia and officiate herself.
Fortunately, there is no problem
in borrowing a shuttlecraft, due to the Military construction of a second
mining
operation in the region. It amuses her to think that this will almost
certainly be the
first ever wedding ceremony at which both the bride and the priestess are
expecting triplets.
The Queen's pregnancy might just be visible to those with keen eyes. Astra 7 is far further along in her pregnancy, though, and - although all of the guests are well aware of her condition - those who haven't seen her recently are a little taken aback at just how large her belly seems. That is exacerbated by the design of her dress [8572], a design that has resulted from an Agent of Chaos' sense of mischief combined with his influence on the dressmaker causing her to accept an idea that she would normally have rejected out of hand. "Why didn't she wear a baggy, loose dress?" a member of the congregation whispers to the person next to her. "That elasticated front is so tight it makes her look as though she's about to pop." Astra 7 is perfectly happy with her dress, though. Had she not been, she could have had something else made, but she feels that since her pregnancy would have been very obvious whatever she had worn - short of a tent - she might as well flaunt it. It is the first time Fred has seen the dress, though, and he is rather taken aback for a moment. Then Astra winks at him.
