Okay. I have just gotten an offer. I just learned just who (and WHAT) Rei and the other Champions

Oh what am I getting so outta shape about here?! I mean that I am getting UPSET over the idea to be able to join this group calling themselves Champions? Upset to be required to marry into their family (marry Yuki!!)?!

Yuki, who’s a smoking hot babe and a soul that is . . .

The other part of me I never knew I was missing?

OH Hell, I DO want to do it, period, and NOW, but this is reality here!

”Okay I don’t see a problem about marrying Yuki here after a few years when I come of age to become a Champion and go off saving the galaxy and all that shit,” I say, at least trying to play off my case nerves as nothing around this . . .guy who looks just like Dr. Amram from Heavy Metel as well as the Others here as well.

I can truthfully say that I kinda like this “Agent’s” taste in clothing. That is a FINE looking leather jacket there, even if it’s kinda on the old fashion sided. Like it.

Also kind of like this Quest business Yuki and the others are on right now, I got to say! Hey, I mean the stakes are as big as say, what my “big destiny” to be the savior of the human race had been

And what they had to SAY to me about becoming a Champion and all that Quest business? Be with Yuki forever and all that stuff? Hell YES!!

Uh, what I’m saying is that to get into this group I’m all for it, being a Champion if it means staying with Yuki forever and ever like those ol’ fairy tails! It’s . . .a better fate than what Mom had with Dad, what with him giving his life to protect her (and unknowingly ME after a night of passion and all that while running). Make me a Champion now in exchange for marrying Yuki when I come of age at eighteen and . . .

Though, you’d think that since these guys know about me being conceived at something of a younger age now than what they originally thought I was (I mean I’m fourteen here instead of TEN for cryin’ out loud) they’d be a bit more . . . accepting about me getting together NOW vice in a few years. Got my mom’s age right, but not that other part.

Think about it. You’ll get to what I’m getting at here, but you BETTER not bad mouth my mother for it or. . . I WILL make you regret it, capiche?

Hm, kind of a sore point there for me so . . . moving on.

But . . .gotta go with the flow here and all that. Doubt that getting shacked up (and having a night of mad, passionate SEX to seal the deal) right now would go over with Yuki’s mother and father. Kinda get the idea that they’re kinda old fashion and all that, being actual Victorians and all.

Ya know? It’s kind of weird that Yuki’s parents haven’t even MET her yet but still . . .I don’t feel it would be ground to jump the gun here yet and try doing something stupid that’ll end up with them wanting to castrate me on first sight, right?

I might be a teenage boy with all the hormones to go with it but it doesn’t mean I only think with “Little John”, thanks. Hey, I’d be ready to cut ‘em off of anybody who’d sleep with MY daughter before they’re ready myself, if I was in their spot so, what can I say? Old fashion or not, I can’t blame them.

”Heh, maybe in the intervening years between now and the future marriage proposal we might finally learn the whereabouts of my sister?” I add, looking past the Rule and over at Aslan, who had said something about THAT in passing when trying to get us gathered up with UNIT here and ready to meet Yuki and the rest of her sisters and such a bit earlier on the road there. Not soon after showing up and calming Mom down over the near crash and all that, point in fact.

I mean Yin (Yuki’s newest sister) has already told us about the Quest they’re on which involves going into some kind of warped/combined secret place which is a combination of two cities that are supposed to be from some video games that are the spiritual successors of System Shock, the underwater city of Rapture and the floating city of Columbia, both which have becomes something of hellholes by the sound of it. Good for a video game/first person shooter. Not so much for going on a rescue mission. The melding happened due to some kind of bad interaction when some kind of cross connect between realities occurred through the powers that our target, a young woman named Elizabeth. Elizabeth had some kind of super power where she could manipulate “tears” in reality and pull things and people through or some such from other parallel realities (basically a power based upon quantum mechanics Yuki tells me). It appears to have had an . . .”interaction” with the machines that kept her flying city of Columbia in the air (which somehow involved quantum mechanics) and some kind of medical devices scattered all OVER the underwater city of Rapture that the “King” down there had a form of . . . .immortality (which involved the use of some kinda substance they named “Adam” and Quantum Entanglement). In other words, a bunch of powers and devices using quantum mechanics and other sciences I just find my head spinning over got snarled together and everything went fubar!

Ah, anyway we Champions are to go into this mess and using the modified Time Manipulation Devices that Aslan got somewhere from that OTHER timeline/timewarp from my old world (they now run on the untapped magic “pool” within Yuki and the other new sisters instead of this fufu Russian stuff called Element 99) to track down Elizabeth wherever she lay. That’ll be hard, given the environment and danger, but not . . .impossible. She should be kinda safe, in a way, until we reach her (the place is in a time warp where things keep repeating and repeating themselves until Outsiders like us get into the mix). We just have to fight our way to her and find her, in whatever shape (or form . . .there was a hint that she might not be the . . .same as before).

We get her physically out of there and back down to either Narnia or the mirror land, Ainran? Then the Quest is done and anyone and anything that got quantumly “interlocked” (or whatever the term that Yin used exactly there in the brief) with will also be teleported to safety and . . . .

”I dare say I do believe dear John you might be wrong about at least the timetable of the upcoming marriage,” the Brigadier chuckles a bit uncomfortably, which serves to interrupt my train of thought, bringing me to look back around to ask what he means.

Only to come up short like I just run smack into a brick wall!

”Huh?” I blink, looking down at my love’s face as she is holding up a ring from where she’s on bended knee in the snow.

She’s . . . .proposing to me . . .here and now? “John?” she asks softly, a look of hopeful yearning in her voice as she makes a small gesture with the white gold ring in her hand. “Would you?”

But. But. .BUT! . . .

It’s supposed to be me doing this, right? The guy’s supposed to . . .supposed to . . .

I . . . Is this real?

”Yes,” I whisper. “I do.”

Oh GOD, I do!

Without regard to some of the adults surprised squakes, a ring of white gold is quickly slid upon the awaiting finger of a still somewhat shocked John Conner’s finger (who’s expression is sliding still sliding from shock into delight). Then whatever else the young man would have said or done is again interrupted by a young woman who has by her upbringing, much less cultural indoctrination than the norm usually found in young teenage girls (pre or post Second Impact or pretty much anyplace you’d care to consider).

Suddenly finding himself in an embrace he finds himself within and a kiss that is not the least chaste, the young man find himself melting into it, and pretty much accepting . . .there was no chance of escape.

Not that he ever wanted it or was now ever capable of it. His soul is her’s and her soul was his, for better or worse.

And for a brief eternity, nothing else mattered but the other….
