Sure about that?

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 10099

Fred couldn't be certain, but he seemed to recall that his mission was something about saving the universe from evil alien time travelling computer hackers. This presented numerous problems...

For starters, the universe is a bloody big place. I mean, just saving a city from x, where x is any threatening, evil sort of entity, is tough enough. Saving a whole planet is damn near impossible, let alone the universe. I mean, it's just not done. One person can't cover that much area.

Then there's the evil alien bit. Evil, sure, Fred had dealt with plenty of that, but aliens are, by definition, from another planet, and other planets might have a totally different concept of evil. So the question arises, are these aliens evil on their own planet, or just by Fred's definition? Do they fit some sort of Absolute Definition of Evilness? Is it just their actions that appear evil to Fred, or are they truly evil by nature?

Leaving that question, Fred moved on to wonder about time travelling. He was pretty sure that traveling was only supposed to have one 'l'. He had no way of traveling in time himself, so how could he combat aliens who just skipped about the fourth dimension as they pleased? And computer hacking...Fred didn't want to touch that one. He'd used an abacus once, but that was about it.

  1. Fred decides you have to start somewhere, and starts looking around for aliens, particularly evilish-looking ones.
  2. Fred says to hell with it and picks a different quest.
  3. Fred does something else.
