The Little-known Vortex Spell

Damn, Fred thought. Wait a moment... "What on earth is a Vortex spell?"

"If I try to put on any clothing a vortex will appear and suck me into it. I'll be spun around so fast that I'll bleed from every orifice and eventually my limbs will be torn off.

"Nasty! So just how long-lasting is long-lasting?"

"That's the worst of it. I don't know. So until I can find a magic user who can tell whether I'm still subject to the curse, I daren't try to put on anything."

"Supposing the dragon was bluffing, and there's no such spell?"

"I suppose he could be. But would you chance it if you were in my position?"

"I suppose not."
