Text of Proposals and Rules for Round 205
=========================================================================
205: PROPOSAL A

For the duration of Round 205, Regular Ordinance 6 is amended to read:

    6. Judge. The Judge is responsible for interpreting the ordinances
and determining the validity of fantasy rules. If a fantasy rule
is inconsistent with itself, or the regular ordinances, then the
Judge shall declare that rule invalid or unsuccessful. If a
fantasy rule is inconsistent with a previously posted fantasy rule
or rules, then the Judge shall declare the rule to be valid if
and only if it has higher precedence than the rule or rules with
which it is in conflict, according to the rules for determining
       precedence then in force.

205:1 INVALID (VALID in light of 205:A)

Ah, what a tangled web of precedence we weave. I shall lay down the
first strand. All Fantasy Rules in this Round must enact a new
mechanism, or modify an existing mechanism, for how Fantasy Rules in
this Round may take precedence over one another.

A Fantasy Rule (the source) may take precedence over one Fantasy
Rule (the target) already in place by specifying that it does so,
and indicating which Fantasy Rule it is taking precedence over.
Doing so allows the source Rule to ignore any of the restrictions
found in the target Rule as well as specify restrictions or logic
that are inconsistent with the target Rule. Any inconsistencies
created between the source Rule and the target Rule are resolved by
ignoring the portions of the target Rule that are inconsistent with
the source Rule for the duration that the source Rule takes
    precedence over the target Rule.

205:2 VALID

    1) No more than half of the clauses of any VALID rule be statements of
       precedence.

    2) If there is a VALID rule 205:5 then that rule has precedence over
       this one.

205:3 VALID

    1) If no other rule determines the precedence between two Rules, the
Rule with the lowest number has precedence.

    2) In order to keep this rule effective, no other rule or
combination of rules may determine or try to determine every
       possible case of precedence.

204:4 VALID

    1. This rule takes precedence over all rules numbered with negative
       half-integers, e.g. -0.5, -2.5, -7.5, etc., but not, e.g., -3, -5.

    2. All future rules which take precedence over any rule or rules which
take precedence over this rule must mention wombats.

205:5 INVALID

    I. No valid Rule may contain the seventeenth, twentyfourth, or 26th
       letters of the alphabet.

II. All Rules whose number is 0 modulo three take precedence over all
other Rules; within those two groups, the lower numbered rule
       takes precedence.

205:6 VALID

    There is NO... rule 6!

(Yes, there is, mate; this is bloody well it.)

If two clauses within a single rule would otherwise be in conflict,
then the later one takes precedence over the earlier one.
