"'Silent'?" "'Silent'. Yes, I'm afraid so." "Let me see if I understand you," Fred said, placing his hands on his hips in an unconciously feminine gesture. "You tricked the King - His Royal Highness - the Supreme Ruler of the land - into sending his best knight - me! - on a wild goose chase after a non-existent dragon. As soon as I show up, you throw some sort of spell on me, the result of which is that I am now about half my former age, and a girl to boot - which means that in addition to any size advantage, I'm also bereft of my strength, my speed, my agility, and any reasonably decent arms or armor. You tell me that some - some prophecy I've never heard of says my unmanning is necessary for me to defeat a marauding band of Amazons which threatens the kingdom - a band which I've never even heard of before, yet. And now, on top of that - just to make sure I have this straight - this selfsame prophecy has NO IDEA WHAT I'M SUPPOSED TO DO NEXT?!?!?!! "Well, yes, I, I, I suppose that's one way of stating it, yes," Belboz said a bit sheepishly. "I see. Well, that's just wonderful!" Fred said, throwing up his dainty hands in disgust. "In my present state, I couldn't wrestle my 16 year-old squire to the ground, much less defeat any sort of army! What am I supposed to do now!?" "Actually," Belboz said nervously, "There's one thing I haven't told you about yet." "Oh, I can barely wait to hear this," Fred said sarcastically.
