A startled warrior

The blob shimmered, and then began bubbling as if boiling. It then flowed into a small, but well defined, feminine shape before becoming flesh. She was clad in the finest silver armour, with beautifully engravings of a bird of paradise across the breastplate of her armour.

Inside this body was the mind of Lord Fred, relieved to be flesh and blood, and extremely surprised to be a girl.

Instictively she drew her sword and raised it above her head, poised to cleave the magician in half for doing this trick. Belboz had expected this reaction, and cast a spell which froze her were she stood.

This gave him time to explain why he had done this to the noble lord.

1. "I had very little choice as to the form I had to give you, once you had changed yourself into that blob. If you wanted to be a warrior, this was the only form I was able to create"
2. "I have made you into an eastern warrior maiden for it is written that a woman, such as you now are, shall be the one to rid us of the dragon"
3. "Sorry, Lord Fred was a twit. I have changed you into a form which I find far more agreeable. Don't bother to think of completing that sword blow, I have cast a spell which will stop you from harming me"
4. Suddenly a strange sound flew across the open space
