It spite of the eventful and difficult day she had had, Andrea slept well,
unaware that she was potentially at risk from both Astra
and Fred. Even when the moonlight from the nearly full (and waxing)
moon fell across her
face she did not stir.
In the morning, they had breakfast and then journeyed on. When Fred asked Astra where they were going and she told him, he whistled in surprise. "Belboz has a rather dubious reputation," he said. "Why do you want to see him?" Astra looked at Andrea dubiously. She did not want to frighten the girl. Still, she would find out before long, when Astra explained her plight to Belboz. So she told Fred everything that had happened to her since her unfortunate sneeze (#1191). Andrea let out one gasp of astonishment, and her eyes grew very wide, but she didn't say anything. When she had finished her story, Astra said: "So you can see why I want to see Belboz. He might have a bad reputation, but he's the only mage I know of in these parts who might be able to undo whatever it is that has been done to me. Anyway, that's my story. What about yours? Obviously Vincent's spell was a success, in spite of my sneeze." "Er, yes," said Fred, and he managed to make up a reasonably plausible story about what he had been doing since they saw each other last. They journeyed on throughout that day, and stopped to rest again for the night, still having some way to go before they would reach their destination. The moon was:
