The cavern was enormous, rising higher than her arms could reach and
reaching farther than her eyes could see. The heat was tremendous, she
perspired in far greater measure than any princess ever had. Yet what
struck her more than any other detail was the incredibly, unimaginably,
insanely large pool of molten lava that dominated the entire cavern. It
bubbled, it burped, it overflowed in places. The smell was overwhelmingly
of sulpher and she knew her time there would have to be brief, or the
poison would take her the way of Hades.
She walked into the chamber, her muscular body rippling without the burden of clothing to restrain her. Yet one detail scraped at her mind with increasing ferocity: "Why didn't I get Sir Fred's sword?!" she said to herself. She wondered what he was doing in the library, if it contained the classic "101 Ways to Catch Pirhana," and if the librarian was as mean- hearted as the Amazonian Thea'Foo. Her thoughts did not linger long on Thea'Foo, the images it dredged up were not very pleasant but also the pool of lava did a most singular thing: it coughed up a blob of molten rock that rolled itself towards the Princess. The blob screamed all the while: "Kowwwaaaaaaahbuuuuuunnnnnngaaaaah!"
