Coming unglued?

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 20741

Rebecca does her best to look like someone who knows who Aaron is.

All that said is nice and well, but more practical matters need to be done here. Namely, Princess Illura attempting to lend a hand down as Rebecca tries to dismount from her horse!

Proves easier said than done, however. See, as stated earlier there still is the matter of that one spell that was cast upon Rebecca to keep her falling accidently out of her saddle. Meaning that despite the unexpected jump that the nameless Game 3 Author caused, that spell is very much still in effect. Whether by design or accidently overlooked, the spell still has Rebecca "glued" to her horse!

Perplexed and anxious, Illura is contemplating on how to get her cousin (who's getting a bit alarmed here at this development) off of her unresponsive horse (thing just stands there like a living statue) when it suddenly rears up and starts to race down a road that the others know leads back to Daria!

The others, having already found fit enough horses wondering about the battlefield, soon are giving chase after the frightened (and bewildered) Rebecca.

It's hard going, but at least this road is relatively safe for galloping horses! God help Rebecca if her horse should snap a leg in some hole, what with the speed it's galloping at! Thing acts like it's possessed!

In actuality, however, it is due to Andrea having reached out magically. She and Synizn had been able to, after a bit, find that horse (who was still magically under their control) and cause it to home in on a location designated by them.

Meanwhile, several hundred miles away, in a forest not far away from the capital of Daria the Champions have boarded the magic users' flying carpets and are now flying all out towards their rendevous point. Synizn had said it best after coming back with the dire news on just how far away Rebecca was from them. It had been just after Joan 2 had been able to make Cuthbert a bit more at ease with things by getting his mind a bit off of the situation. She'd told her joke she had heard from this one "e-mail pen-pal" about how it had been proof positive in his universe that there was intelligent life out there because they had the good sense, after seeing all the drivel humanity had put out on the airwaves via television and the radio, to avoid contact with the Earthlings......

Cuthbert, smiling a bit, had done one better with this one awful joke given to him by this one chap named Malcom. Basically, it was right up with his joke. You know the one: "I'd suggest Origami as a hobby. Sky TV will soon be televising the World Origami Championships. It'll be avaiable on Paper View."

Yep, that one!

Well, Synizn and Andrea had come out and told them all about some kind of big disruption having gone on all over the place so a flying rug would be small beans next to that (or so they hope). That and their quarry had appeared next to that one battlefield that Cuthbert had talked about in passing. The one where the New Amazon's had been crushed by the forces of Hengist, king of Zendara (who Samuel had forces on "standby" just in case...at least before this Disruption).

Being that their might be some kind of stragglers or such that might not be healthy for Rebecca to meet, they all were out to get there before something bad could happen.

Naturally all the groups meet near a point where that one prince, Aaron, was trying to sort things out himself....

Now, as an aside we all know that the unnamed Author has caused a lot of time slippage with a lot of folks here. For some (like Princess Illura), they've been thrown back in time (resurrected) from the point of view of the Champions (the New Amazons had died in battle, according to episode 20423). But of course, from their point of view they've been thrown forward in time from a point a bit before the eve of that battle. Aaron had been coming across "Karen" looking over the corpse of Illura, only to end up back at a spot (on horseback) only a few hours agone by his memory. Rebecca, not knowing that the New Amazons had already been in battle and had been clobbered, got thrown to a point in time where she would have come across the remains of battle (rather upsetting her)....only that this battle would have been weeks old at that....but the nameless Author had bungled that detail, eh? Uh, let's just leave out Samuel for now, okay?

Let's just say that things have gotten a bit unglued, Author or no....

Whether or not there are really native magic users out there having detected the demifoxs' magery remains to be seen......

Well, that confusing bit said, it's understandable we've got a situation when all these folks (sans Samuel greet each other by moonlight on the same road....

Ill met by moonlight?
