The Doctors Are Mistaken

The other visitors were other Scotts. And they wanted to join with up with Ensign Scott. Scott would become an uber-Scott.

No one liked this idea. The Scott that had been with them for months now had developed apart from the other. The chaos energy had essentially forced him to stay out of other 'lines' and keep to himself. This Scott, Voyager's Scott had done things and thought things and become things no other Scott had been.

The alternate Scott's don't like this news at all.

Certainly Voyager could understand. Q, a more powerful entity, had banished Scott to this realm. That's why this Scott had to be the *SCOTT*.
Concerns were raised about Voyager's Scott's memories.
An amalgamation, they were told. Part of all. Be one. Be one single Scott.
The alternate Scott's were chased off the ship at phaser point. (The resulting battle left Ensign Kim, Delany and Mulcahey in Sickbay for two weeks and most of deck thirteen a scorched mess).

"God!" Scott raged, kicking a holographic rock. Overhead, a holographic sun blazed down on an equally holographic beach. "How could those other Scott's be so, so...insane!?"
His wife put a hand on his back. "That's the whole point, Scott. They weren't you. You're an individual. You're unique. You're -my- Scott."
"Individual. Unique." Scott muttered under his breath. His head snapped up.
"Unique. Scott. Many."
Samantha looked back at him, her eyes wide. "One." he said. "Amalgamation. Assimilation."
Then at once, "Borg."

They both ran from the holodeck as fast as they could.
Twenty minutes later, The Doctor walked into the Ready Room. Human Janeway sat behind the desk.
"Doctor." she said.
"Captain." he replied.
"So what's the news? Is Scott the ancestor of the Borg?"
