Now, for the one who called herself Mother Night.....
She didn't remember much before arriving on this world inside a summoning
circle drawn by an evil rogue mage to be used for some type of dark ritual
whiched called upon a special four year old for sacrifice. All she knew
was that she'd been a young princess of an Amzonian nation and that this
dark man was going to do her in....or would have if not for the fact that
an assassin hired by a rival hadn't killed him right before the final spell
preperations. The black hearted man who others called Nightshade (a somewhat
unoriginal name.....but people hired him for results and not originality
in names) took pity upon the crying warrior child and took her in as her
own.
Perhaps it would have been more kind to have just abandoned her, for
the fiend raised this child to follow him in his dark footsteps in the
Assassin's Guild and a young, impressionable girl grew up not into a young
woman....but into a monster that only looked like a human woman. He grew
up with monsters in the form of human beings....and became like them, alas.
Later, yet another large war between the supposed forces of good and
evil the fallout of all of it had been things turned upside down and sideways.....not
that Mother Night cared. She rather cared for who payed the most....now.
Right now, through her networks of contacts, she'd been hired by a most
unexpected client. The biggest dragon she'd ever heard of....much larger
than anything seen on Krynn before. It was a secret meeting.....and she
shuddered to think what would happen if she revealed his existence before
he was ready to reveal it himself. But that aside....his steel pieces (the
currency of Krynn) was good and steady....so she could well keep a secret!
And what was her current assignment? Why, to kill the only chance
for the Draconians from being able to reproduce! Something that even "Mother
Night" can see that should not be!
She'd been able to sneak by the Draconian guards with difficulty (armed
with something like crossbow....without the crowbow bolt?)...only to be
foiled by a strange human man?! A man who apparently knew the way of the
sword....for while she'd been able to make an escape and mortally wound
the guy.....he'd managed to wound her rather badly herself!

Now,
to understand what this is all about.....a bit of review is in order here.
