Enraged, the maddened orgress tears a large bolder from the groundand
hurls it at the staggered Elaine. The oily and plump boy mage only feels
brief sense of pain and agony and then nothing as the boulder crushes him
from behind!
Off a little ways off, a certain special woman named Anina was about
to get to know the two new fellow nature spirits when she and they hear
the chaos happening out on the border of the dead village!
"Anina, I just saw a group of what appears to be Amazon's dressed in
bronze plate armor appear from nowhere," Belboz the ghostly necromancer
says, materializing right next to the hamadryad in question. "They look
a bit confused from what I can tell...."
"Well, let's see what this is about," Anina says softly, curious.
Without being asked, Fred the hamadryad follows along, also curious.
Perhaps she (and she now seems curiously comfortable with the idea of being
a "she"), can help in some way?
Belboz also makes a move to go, but after no more than a dozen paces
from her host tree she jerks to a halt. Surprised, she doesn't know yet
that as a nymph (the least powerful of nature spirits).....she's forevermore
rooted to the spot where she bonds with her first....and last tree. That
is how Elaine had anted it to be. To a lesser extent, that's what Elaine
also did with Fred. Tying her down to a tree....but giving her a greater
range of motion since he had a grudging respect for the knight (but that
respect only went so far).
That knowledge will come in time, and mayhaps even something can be
done about this to alleviate or remedy this!
But when the hamadryads and ghostly mages get back to the field outside
the village and see what is happening there......
"Elaine!" Fred the hamadryad growls softly, wishing for a deadly weapon!
-
That's when
they see a bit more havoc break out on the field.....
