Seriously

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 80688

Gilda

“How did you know about us having been transformed?” Nightfall asks quietly. “And again I ask . . .are you serious about wanting to breast feed them yourselves?!”

Later, in front of the gates to the city of trade . . .

As for the first question? Well, not only were they highly trained and learned users of magicks and of COURSE were familiar with tell tale signs of magical alterations (including those done to intelligent beings) but they also have family members who've been transformed into different races. And not just human to elves but various other races even MORE radical than what I and my sisters had done to us here!

. . .

Must be one rather odd family Rei comes from here... But it works for me if it means a leg up for us elves here.

Besides, Rei and her sisters are . . .nice people. Much nicer than . . .don't know. Nicer than what my fictional tribe of Hill Giants were, that is for SURE!!

As for the second question's answer?

We sure learn the answer to that one, soon enough! That and a bit MORE than the answer to that question, I dare say. Meaning that Lilith and Reika didn’t even show a trace of embarrassment as they silently breastfed their respective bundles of elfin joy without any qualms about an audience consisting of the gate guards before them.

The other elfin children have been fed, burp and even diaper changed whilst on the road to this gateway into the town proper. The first part done in the same manner as what Rei’s doing right now with the bundle she’s nursing: she’s breast fed them! As for the others? All with supplies provided (or adapted) from her new . . . .employees from her and her sister’s own supplies.

Nice enough gesture considering that besides a few possessions the elves (and gryphon) arrived on this world with only the clothing on their back ( or equivalent as it were for Braveheart’s case).

Griffins don’t usually bother with clothing.

But besides the infant who are either being breastfed by Rei, Braveheart, the young winged women, and the young who’ve now drifted off asleep (all tuckered out) we see some rather befuddled by the rather blasé manner that Rei’s breastfeeding. Out here in public without any apparent hesitation about baring her breast for the infant!

Has all to do with the formative years for Rei and her sisters, you know. Something to do with her being supposedly related to Lilith--a forerunner to Adam’s Eve in certain Judeo religious beliefs and all that-- having left Eden before Orignal Sin would NOT have the . . .hang-ups that the rest of ordinary human beings are supposed to have. Well, that’s the reasoning that her care givers had (lunatics each and every one of ‘em) had. Bottom line, baring a breast so a child gets fed isn’t a problem.

It’s more embarrassing and befuddling to OTHERS around them (including the grownup elven women here) than the winged women magic users.

Sure makes the gategaurds’ day, that is for sure!!

Bottom line, Rei and her sisters were indeed serious about their last offer. Good thing for otherwise the young ones would have gone without until the grownups somehow managed somehow to scare up some means to bottle feed ’em.

And after having gotten by the gate guards and into the city proper, Rei and her group totally ignored “The Game” going on elsewhere. They weren’t their for fun but business, much to the suprise of the locals...

It was unheard of! Not at least being part of the audience for “The Game” (whatever exactly that stupidity was).. . .the well to do, anyway (which what Rei and her sisters obviously belong).

The not so well to do were rather surprised at the quality of customer browsing through their wares, looking for ingredients not often sought after...

“Is it too much to ask for properly aged basilisk gizzards,” Rei mutters to herself. “What is with this ‘fresh only’ crap.”

It wasn’t needed, totally,. But would make the life saving potion much more readily . . .work for Zhaan.

And two women silently watched it all through an odd, ancient mystical gateway. One was dressed as what you would expect of a lady of middle to the lower end of upper class Victorian/Edwardian England. The other?

Currently she had, after much debate with her new “personas” in her mind, to settle for her old outfit:

A shockingly brief skit and “sailor” fuku with an odd staff shaped like a key....

  1. “Rei always had been one to put a LOT of effort into her efforts,” the Victorian seeming woman sighed--a bit of pride in her voice-- before taking a sip of her green tea her hostess had provided for this get together.
