Sikozu?

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 77587

It rapidly became apparent that THIS Sikozu isn’t "their’s”. That and "their” Sikozu . . .met a rather lethal end...

Sikozu

Now, pardon me a moment if I don’t go immediately into me having to explain just how I got my hands on a real tricorder and not some mockup from that television Earth show: Star Trek. I feel a need on touching on some important subjects before we dive into THAT. You'll understand.

It should be VERY obvious, however, why I am much less condescending than I might have been in another place and time about human technology. I have seen such equipment in action from my brief time with Inquirer and Elrondir AND have seen . . .other examples of "human" technology much in the advance of what I'm used to while I'd lived in the Uncharted Territories.

After that one wormhole spat me out into another realm entirely. More on that in a bit. Let us just say I've learned a valuable lesson. Contary to rumor, I DO recognize a fact when it's slapped me across the face.

Heh. Critchon’s Earth (where ever it may lay right now) may right now be backwards and primitive by my old standards, but the things I got access through the human dominated Guild! Hexmana, especially the ships they put out there makes Moya here look slow by comparison. Almost snail pace, really...

And some may have called me at one time or another arrogant and a bit snotty at times, and I’m sure they’ve said I am certainly capable of being conniving. But while I somewhat object to such narrow minded views . . .they may have a point. Well, what can one expect living under Scarren rule?! The Kalish used to have...

We . . .they used to be such a different people. You wouldn’t recognized them if you compared to what they became. The Scarrens did so many things. Took away so much of our . . .

We had to grow smart. Logical. Cold perhaps even. Looking out for ourselves before everyone else because anything ELSE under Scarren rule was open invitation to disaster!

Our best and brightest. OUR FUTURE was always under something of a gilded cage. If we displeased our overlords TOO much we’d not only lose that last trace of our culture, but soon enough we’d get “downgraded” in our living standards.

Grunt work. Menials. Short and brutal under some Scarren overlords and leave at that.

Just makes me shudder to think about what we avoided.

. . .

And speaking of that. While I admit that perhaps I may have not been. . . I could have been better in my dealings. In my deeds. IN what I was doing whilst under the employment of the Grudex when hunting down the Leviathan graveyard, I shall stand by what I did.

YES! I was so successful that I sabotaged myself. Yes, they did turn on me, trying to kill me in order to cheat me of my organization’s share in the profits. (before our efforts to finally, secretly foment a civil war between various power hungry Scarren factions and we gained and KEPT independence . . .

. . .

Pardon, I get sidetracked sometimes. Will explain later (probably after I use the Scrying stone to contact my crew to let them know I’ve gone wormhole wayward . . .AGAIN). I am worried about finding myself here but with that Stone I should be able to remedy some of it.

But of course, more immediate concerns occupy my time. I’d already taken care of that d*mn doppleganger of mine (how I LOATHED her when I set eyes upon her). A quick phasor on disintigrate and that was one problem done. While attending to the question of just WHERE the hexmana I found myself I stumbled across her!

Lilith....I don't remember MUCH about it all, that HUGE winged human figure reaching for my ship...

  1. If nothing else from stumbling across that one world in the throws of “Third Impact” I . . .can tell such things.
