Andrea and Astra came in, the tall Astra having to duck to avoid banging
her head on the low lintel. Andrea looked around her nervously. She had
heard many frightening rumours about the power and the evilness of the
necromancer. She was surprised by the apparent humbleness of Belboz's abode.
She had expected him to live in a castle rather than a large hut.
The hut was rather dark inside, illuminated by only a single candle.
From what Andrea could see of the furnishings, they were fairly spartan.
Again she wondered why such a powerful mage should not use that power in
order to live more comfortably. Belboz directed his guests to take seats
around a low wooden table. "Now," he said, "you've had a long journey.
You'll be wanting food and wine." Andrea was about to refuse, afraid that
what she was given might be enchanted in some way. However Astra shot her
a warning look. If they were seeking Belboz's aid, they couldn't risk antagonising
him by refusing his hospitality. "Er, thank you," Andrea said unhappily.

Belboz brought in bread,
cheese and a pitcher of red wine, and they began their meal.
