| "Noooo!" screamed the red-haired Betty and dived for the Master, slamming
into his body and knocking his gun aside so that it discharged harmlessly
into the desert floor. Snarling, he turned the gun on her, but the Doctor
was already moving. With a swift karate chop (which either Betty could
have pointed out to Stacy was actually a Venusian Akido chop, had she but
asked) he disarmed the Master, sending his weird-looking weapon flying.
It landed at Stacy's feet.
Stacy still had no idea what was going on here, but it was pretty clear,
at least, who the bad guy was. She picked up the gun and pointed it at
the Master, trying to keep her hands from trembling. "Stop it right there!"
she yelled. Everyone froze and looked at her.
