Later . . . "Miss Murray," Mr. Bond calls as he comes up. "I see that you were successful in your endeavors and . . . you brought friends?" He blinks as he sees the sheet covered Mr. Griffin float over to the awaiting wagon which would transport him to HQ for . . . observation and recruitment. A young blonde woman (a young woman actually named "Chiana" but has the alias of "Karen Shaw") smiles as the still body (which moans once in a while) settles and she makes a . . . magical gesture (to end the magical spell?!) That gets stares, let me tell you, but the people that . . . Bond hired are professional and know when to keep their mouths shut. They get paid well enough, you know.... Bond blinks, not having expected this latest development. Bond had come personally down to Wapping to help escort Dr. Jekyll into custody as well as to attend to other matters. He had NOT expected Mina's group to return so soon, with their assigned pickup . . . . as well as a few other unexpected guests. Guest who have the common decency of staying back a bit, giving Mina and Bond some measure of privacy for business. "What is this about?" Bond continues, looking rather pointedly at the blonde (who's smiling back at him). "Would you believe actual changlings and mystics?" Mina quips. "Mr. Bond, what I have next to say will be difficult to believe but I shall endeavor to explain." Needless to say, Bond is . . . surprised. "Bloody Hell," he whispers, pulling a white cloth from his coat and swiping at the sweat that has suddenly covered his pale, flabby face. "Uh, by all means you did the RIGHT thing bringing them here!" Bond was, due to his position in Military Intelligence familiar with the phenomona of visitors from other, mystical realms. One man named Christian in particular had rather alarmed some much earlier . . . But that's not important right now. As what Bond is, he was also familiar (sometimes overly so) with the fact that some "mystics" out there actually DID have more than a false claim to power. But the fact that alien mystics from an eldritch realm should know so much . . . Good that they agreed to help. One less loose end to bind up when all this was said and done! From past reports these . . . foreigners were even more easily duped than their earhly counterparts . . . . Of course, Bond fails to give the Doctor fair dues. Does not even . . . Nevermind, it was what the Doctor and his Companions were hoping for, anyway: to be underestimated. "Congratulations Miss Murray," Bond says after gathering himself. "Your friends were right about Cavorite. That is why M hired you . . . to recover it."
