"Isn't this where we came in?" or a "Durka Returns" flashback?!

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 45856

Elrondir

"Moya and I should have avoided that collision entirely," I and the others overhear Pilot say over the clamshell from the shadows. With Moya being pregnant with Talyn (or whatever the kid's going to be named in this reality) the kid has first call on resources, and thus why the collision taking place in the first place (Moya had practically been flying blind according to what Chiana had told us earlier).

And because of that collision, the DRDs are probably more interested in looking for things like refugees from another universe who'd just dropped in out of thin air. Can see how that can be, especially considering that until relatively recently I'd scoff at such "nonsense"!

. . . .

What is it with things where we keep on popping back into the thick of things when we visit these Farscape realities? And while I'm asking questions like that, why don't I just ask why we didn't have the luck to have either Betty or Ragan getting dragged along with us on this trip? Of all of the group, they have the most complete picture of what's going on around here!

Well! I see then again the girls in gray aren't chopped liver, as the old saying back Home goes.

"This is . . . where I came in I think," whispers Aeryn Pip, looking a bit shaken.

"If I meet that frekface Durka again I'll . . ." Chiana mutters. "Oh, but burning to death won't be good enough for him and Salis . . ."

. . .

Hm, looks definitely NOT like chopped liver considering just HOW involved they'd been in in similar events in their versions of THIS reality! That could be very useful! In fact, we could listen in if we wish with that.

Then again I'm no longer in the spy business. . .

I make a small gesture towards one of the girls in gray and . . .

Aeryn Pip

What happens next happens in a matter or microts, so just keep that in mind, okay?

"Yeah, but isn't there some way we can... Uh, Zhan?" Crichton pauses, seeing the odd look that Zhaan seems to have just now. See, considering that just at that time we'd walked right in to Control, hands raised (to "allay fears" as Elrondir put it). That and a white flag . . .

Crichton would (I hope) know of all aboard what the flag (actually the white cloth) means, I sure as hez wouldn't have known. Point in fact, by Nebari standards that would have earned Elrondir a blaster bolt in the face!

See, it's rather . . .shall we say frellin' rude what that gesture says by Nebari custom! We do things differently, but then again . . . that does go without saying . . .

"Who are you and how did you get here?" Zhaan asks, in a decidedly hostile tone of voice. I'd heard her . . . uh . . . my Zhaan use such tones before but usually not addressed towards me.

"Big D!" John shouts. "Get the Hell up here!"

"On my way!" D'Argo (the native of this universe) shouts over the com unit.

Oh, this is going just Frellin' fine, by God!

"Damnit Crichton," I mutter. "Are you THAT deficient in your eyesight?! Or do you and your world Earth NOT know what a white FLAG means!?"

Chiana

"Crichton," I snap, taking up the conversation. "You DO know what flag of truce means, right? I mean your world did invent that somewhere in your timeline, right?"

I say that in a certain language, to get my point across. Oh, defective as his mind is, I'm sure he'll recognize that . .

"You speak English?" Crichton blinks. "Who the Hell ARE you people?"

Elrondir

"In short," I say. "Wayward travelers who found ourselves by chance on Moya who are asking for sanctuary while under a flag of truce. Us here and a village which got . . . caught up in things . . .back that way."

I jerk my head back the way we'd come, pointing the direction.

"But before we continue this fine and enlightening chat could I suggest as the spokesman for my little group," I continue on, holding back the first few sarcastic comments that come to mind. "May I point out that you still have a ship in distress outside?

  1. "You know, the one . . . you ran into?" I add, smiling my most winning smile. "Us inadvertent stowaways shall keep our peace until then. Promise!"
