Hathar'ruil "Looks like we've got ourselves a local guide!" Chiana purrs. .... Yes, I would dare say we do at that. Not a method I would have used, (would have secretly awaited the right moment and sleep spelled him, and dragged him off into the shadows before his travel mates were the wiser). Nor was the seductive ploy something my wife would use (who'd probably had just snuck up behind our frightened guide and clubbed him unconscious and drag him off into the shadows before his travel mates were the wiser). Not our style, but I must admit it has gotten the best results. ..... No, cannot argue with the results. Though if this relationship between Chiana and Sigin had been something like non-dragons, then I'd be leery about what kind of future it would have..... Chiana kind of reminds me of "Pris" from Bladrunner, actually.... Ah, not important right now... She is as she is because of her upbringing and from what I've learned so far (what a great disservice her parents and her society must had did her) and I and my love are the way we are. She joined up with the Champions, in most part I believe, because of her love of Sigin. Maybe a vast oversimplification, but I'll bet that somewhere along the lines that was part of it. Myself, I joined up out of a sense of duty to my kind and station in life (rank hath it's privileges), that was one of the main reasons, anyway. My love joined because of the endless . . . . excitement she'll have when faced with the tasks a Champion must perform.... That and all us "Children of Ti'mma" want to pay back the pain and suffering we had under those damn servants of the Dark Army. Those Dark Elven kidnappers.... Ah, but that's another story for later, perhaps.... Back to lighter things. Well, no matter about the movie character, anyway, whoever Chiana reminds me of, really. With dragons it's an all/nothing relationship when it comes to love. Either true or not and no real way to fake it. That and somewhere within that "tough girl" exterior lay some noble and vulnerable emotions, else the love of first sight that only happens between dragons would not have occurred. Right now I and the other mages have a few "truth" spells (coupled with Inquirer's rather strong interrogation techniques) that are called for right now. Just trusting this fool to freely give out information on a way out of here (without trying to lead us astray into danger our his master) would be foolish indeed! A bit later.... Chiana The others, having taken our "guest" aside, come back with some rather....chargrinned looks on their faces. The interrogated man, meanwhile, is moaning softly off to the side, out of it.... Inquirer is pulling out the Key components. "Still would have loved to try it," she sighs whistfully, her eyes glowing red for a second or three (!), looking over at the Doctor. "But I rather doubt that the mummy master ever heard of Low Men in Yellow Coats, much less of Breakers and the Dark Tower." All things serve the beam, is what Elrondir says to us all, wryly. .... Oh yes, I think to myself, suddenly remembering about that fahrbot business about this one gruibo named "Stephen King" and all that. IInquirer must have gotten a bit sentimental about her adopted brother or something and wanted to play "Gunslinger" or something, I guess... .... Would like to meet this Roland sometime soon to see what all the stir is about... Nevermind, that'll come later.
