Elrondir And we run for the TARDIS, D'Argo clutching Jothee to so chest so hard. So hard, in fact, that D'Argo wonders aloud later how his son had even been able to breathe... That, of course, is later. The TARDIS dematerializes and returns to Moya, a few hours later (Moya's clock) as agreed. It would...well....give Aeryn Sun enough time to recover somewhat! She'd nearly been besides herself in rage when Inquirer had loudly and firmly turned her down for helping in the rescue of Jothee. Frankly, I rather felt Inquirer was in the right to refuse. Sun could barely stand without trembling, so weak was she still from her ordeal. Her hands were still shaking, despite her best efforts to hide it! No, she wasn't ready, then. Hopefully, she's cooled down enough to realize that after she saw past her hurt pride. The Doctor had hoped that a few hours (or arns as the natives call it), would do the trick and, hoping that Moya could remain safe for those few hours whilst the TARDIS was away, had asked Pilot about that. Seemed to be the best course of actions available to us, since we were relative strangers to her, you see. Anyway, Pilot had assured us that we could be able to get well enough away from the Gammak base to be safe. The Doctor and the others, after consulting, had agreed upon it.....so here we are. If Moya had been captured, we'd made contingency plans on rescuing her and Pilot, don't you doubt it. We'd not gone charging into this rescue/Sun cool down session. Still, thank the Creator that we'd not have to mount a rescue... All that said, we quickly disembark back into Pilot's den and.....yes.....we SHOULD immediately go right NOW and make battle plans for the future (and perhaps try to figure out just HOW the Tyrells had been able to home in on Rygel so quickly, that bothers me MIGHTILY). But..... But right now we have the present to deal with and it is a very joyful thing, seeing father and son united. Does a soul good, seeing it. I and my love, B'elanna, sigh softly and bask in the glow of the love. Yeah, it may not be "Military" efficient, but then: 1) I am no longer IN the Military, 2) a bit of anarchy is the norm on Moya (I am told, i.e. no real designated "Captain"), 3) even the most "hard core" military member of the Military (Alliance or Military Protectorate) wouldn't begrudge us this moment. So live with it! Even that no account whining fugitive from the Muppet Show, Rygel (I remember Ragan saying that the Jim Henson Company made the puppet that played him in the TV show) stands back and seems to appreciate the moment! ..... Sorry if I offend, but frankly Rygel so far hasn't left me with a very good impression of him..... Anyway.... I believe such open, emotional moments on D'Argo's part could well be few and far between. Most of the time, I believe, he has a rather gruff exterior up. Well, can't blame him for that. We all have our own special types of armor in one way or another to keep the world at bay in one fashion or another....so to not get hurt as much....so often.... After a whirlwind introduction of his son to us, Jothee and D'Argo go over to a private room well away from the others. Just a guess but I have a feeling from a somewhat hesitant look upon D'Argo's face he's going to have to do something that he had never thought he'd have to do. Something that he had that the eight arn....ARGH!....eight years (I'm NOT going to slip into the native tongue for time keeping, would presume that I have plans on staying in this universe, which I can't)..... He figured, I feel, that while the eight years away from his son would have been hard on the tyke, at least the kid would have figured out (in one way or another) the strange happenings that had just happened moments ago (his time frame). Sigh. Forgive me for sounding a bit maudlin there for a second. That is the farthest thing, really. It has more something to do with the difference between them and us "other" elves. Ah yes, the nature of "us" and "them". The heart turned towards the prospect of two of my long time friends leaving after this quest is over. See. The first beings we actually met upon Terra Prime we now call home (of a sorts) was Gilmuriel and E'eysha. We became quick friends after sharing adversity and adventure. They, I, and my love went along with Sigin 2 to join with the Doctor aboard the TARDIS and since then have shared quiet a few grand adventures indeed. Well, you're probably wondering just HOW the differences between the elves just suddenly popped into this? Well....heh....you see, I have rather sharp ears, natch. Comes with this small conversation I overhear, you see. Sigh, us elves do have better hearing than your average human being (or Sebecian) by far, folks. I figure that when Aeryn Sun took Chiana and Zhaan off to another corner of the Den, she felt that she was far enough away to not be overheard. At least D'Argo (and Crichton when he'd gone off into another room a few seconds after the Luxian with the Brig to talk to him about something), had figured that out about our pointed ears.... I and the other elves wouldn't have eavesdropped, of course, but..... Hey, look, one of the subjects of the conversation in the opening sentence threw up red danger flags!! Aeryn looks troubled and flustered as she frantically waves Zhaan over. Since Chiana had just been opening her mouth up to ask the blue woman a question herself ( concerning some subject that dealt with something she'd smiled and nodded about whilst with Sigin only moments earlier), she naturally follows Zhaan over as well. ..... Sun looks...on edge right now. Too much so to ignore, I feel, in their opinions. Yeah, it concerned John Crichton and Gilina! Them as well as us "strangers"! It appears that, perhaps, a moment we'd hoped would come up.....later....won't wait! It's awkward, you see, and could make our jobs (already damn difficult) even more so!!
